With Squarespace, you can achieve so much without the requirement for extra code or software, but sometimes you may need a little helping hand.

In the event you build your own website using Squarespace, there is every chance you would have come across a 3rd party plug-in provider (We have our own plugin store available here). The key benefit of 3rd party plugins is the fact that they add functionality that isn't already built into the platform. Features like transferring content from your old website in an efficient manner, embedding Facebook posts or Google reviews, and even making your Squarespace website multilingual using Bablic.

Are Squarespace plugins official?

That’s a negative. Although the quality of the majority of plugins and custom code is first class, there is no official shop or market to get Squarespace plugins. Likewise, Squarespace have not officially endorsed any plugin providers. Through the years several stores have arisen purchasing codes and snippets,

What about Squarespace extensions?

Extensions are a selection of third-party applications, specifically designed to boost your Squarespace website. These extensions permit you to join Squarespace with different programs to help enhance transport, sell goods throughout the internet, advertise your shop, and much more.

What is the difference between a plugin and an extension?

The major difference between both is that a plug-in offers additional functionality, without altering the core functionality of your Squarespace website. At the same time extensions are designed for changing core performance, or in some instances, linking up Squarespace site with other software. Some of the main extensions within the Squarespace ecosystem include Printful, Quickbooks and AfterShip.
