Social media toolkit Unfold joins the Squarespace family

You could say it’s been a busy year for Squarespace.

Hot on the heals of Squarespace 7.1 and the purchase of calendar management software, Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace has added Unfold to its impressive catalogue.

So what is Unfold?

Unfold is a mobile app aiming to provide a stylised solution for design-conscious storytellers, elevating their social media posts with clean, thoughtfully considered templates. With a simple but effective concept, the iOS app provides streamlined templates to which users can add photos, video, and text to posts and stories.

How can it help your business?

If you are active on social media, maintaining design consistency without having a graphic designer regularly on hand can be a challenge. Even if you have a designer in-house, scheduling and waiting for a design block can often be a hindrance when social media by nature demands speed. Just as Squarespace provides you professional starting templates for your website, Unfold can deliver rapid, professional templates for your social media posts. It’s easy to see why Squarespace has added the Unfold app to their ranks. If you need to regularly post content on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, this could be well worth a look.

As part of our pursuit to be the all-in-one platform for anyone who wants to stand out, we’re excited to welcome the publishers of Unfold, an app that helps anyone create elevated and engaging stories for Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, into the Squarespace family.

Can we expect any PixelHaze tutorials with Unfold in the future?

Almost certainly. I have to admit that I haven’t heard of Unfold before this announcement, but have started to look into the software and will be spending some time over the coming weeks. If there is a way I can help to integrate the app into our design process and streamline your day-to-day social media activities then I will certainly give it a go.
