Pixelhaze Academy and Squarewebsites Partnership Announcement
In eleven years as a Squarespace expert, I’ve built over 500 websites on the platform.
You’d think after all this time, I’d have everything sorted. Over the past few months, though, I’ve realised that even after spending tens of thousands of hours working with Squarespace, there’s still so much more to explore.
That got me thinking. If I still find things to learn, imagine what it must be like for someone new to web design to build their first site. Even with website builders designed to simplify the process, many challenges exist. What if you want to add multiple map pointers? Or filter a growing blog? Or set up custom filters or sliders for product categories? None of these features are available straight out of the box with Squarespace.
I’m a big fan of Squarespace. It’s a great platform that does a lot. Still, you sometimes find yourself walking the tightrope between adding too many features and making things confusing or settling for more limited options compared to other platforms like WordPress.
That’s why I’m excited to announce a new partnership between Pixelhaze Academy and Squarewebsites, one of the longest-standing and most impressive plugin developers for Squarespace.

"Squarewebsites has created amazing solutions like advanced universal filters for blogs and stores, or the ability to add multiple map pointers. That's just scratching the surface.”
- Elwyn Davies
Over the next few months, I’ll be releasing a series of tutorials showing how to install and use their plugins. We’ll start simple with basic guides, then ramp up to more advanced design techniques where I can have some fun with them.
The best part?
These tutorials will be completely free on our Website Builders channel and through the free membership on Pixelhaze Academy.
One of the plugins that stands out to me is their Chrome extension, which I call the Swiss Army knife for Squarespace designers. I’ve been using it since 2019, and when the Squarewebsites team reached out to me this summer, I jumped at the chance to collaborate with them, and I’m so glad I did.
"I was intrigued by the Squarewebsites range of Squarespace plugins and wanted to have a play around"
- Elwyn Davies
We’ve already got 12 tutorials live, and we plan to create 30 to 40 more. You can access them via a dedicated section on Pixelhaze Academy’s Skool community, where you can also join the conversation.
For those of you using Square Forge, our rapid Squarespace template builder, I’ll also be exploring how we can integrate Squarewebsites plugins to create even more advanced layout options.
Whether you’re curious to see what these plugins can do or just want practical ways to enhance your Squarespace site, these tutorials will give you everything you need. I’m really excited about this partnership and see it as a major step forward for Pixelhaze Academy and our Website Builders channel.
This is all about teaming up with some of the brightest minds in the website builder space to bring you fresh, exciting content.
Head to the Website Builders channel, subscribe and check out the first batch of tutorials.
And keep an eye out; there’s plenty more on the way.
Cheers!
